Who is Dawn Dewar Life Coach and Therapist

Hello! my name is Dawn and I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different therapeutic interventions to suit individuals needs. I have experience working with individuals who have generalised anxiety disorder, depression, bereavement and all other areas of mental well-being.

Sometimes feelings can come out of the blue and seem to have no specific cause, I will help you to explore and understand this so you can make changes to how you feel. 

Our first session - 

The first session is to talk about the issues you are having and how we can work together to work those issues out. It is a very much a 'getting to know you' session and that goes for both of us, it is an opportunity for you to ask questions that you may have about me, or the way that I work. 

Training, qualifications and experience -

I have spent 6 years training and continue to study now to keep myself up to date with the latest techniques and theories. I gained a Bsc with honours in psychology through the Open University and have numerous qualifications and certificates including counselling, CBT, psychotherapy, anger management, bereavement and NLP Life coaching to name a few.
